La Petite Abeille

So our next spot was La Petite Abeille, a Belgian restaurant in Tribeca.
Our waitress was great and very excited when we ordered two Bloody Marys. She claimed that they were the best ones she’s ever had!

I was so excited to see they served the cocktail in a typical Belgian beer glass (which means more to drink!!). It was served with a celery stick, a lemon wedge and a bunch of olives at the bottom yummmm.

This Bloody Mary is so far the best one we’ve had. It was so fresh and well made, perfectly spicy and generous in size.

Now for the meal...Alex ordered the special for the day which was Halibut in saffron sauce served with fingerling potatoes and spinach. I had the salmon in a creamy tomato sauce served with vegetable couscous. Both dishes were quite tasty, but I must say his dish was better thanks to the creamy and delicate sauce.

Finally, for dessert I had (yes, "I had" because Alex refuses to eat dessert) a Belgian waffle with Chantilly and strawberry sauce. Simply delicioussssss!

Overall great drink, great meal AND and very friendly waitress, so La Petite Abeille deserves 4 1/2 stars.
